HRE participates as a partner in the CFAA (A.I.E.)
In this first quarter of 2018, we have joined the AEDTFAA Association as members of the CFAA, the Centre for Advanced Aeronautical Manufacturing.
Large collaborative projects need to find practical ways of integrating the skills, interests and diverse talents of the technological agents, companies, institutions and, ultimately, the project “partners”.
The CFAA’s members include two agents for developing intellectual activity, the execution of R&D&I and industrial transfer and development. One is the university, which by its very nature facilitates academic and institutional collaborations. The other is the Business Association (AIE), a group of companies with common and compatible interests. The constitution aims to unify, coordinate, cooperate and promote industrial and business action and interest within this project.
The Association is called “AGRUPACIÓN EMPRESARIAL PARA EL DESARROLLO DE TÉCNICAS DE FABRICACIÓN AERONÁUTICA AVANZADA, A.I.E.” (BUSINESS GROUP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED AERONAUTICAL MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES, A.I.E.). Therefore, it has its own structure and ensures that the relationship between the CFAA and the industry has a single, effective channel that generates synergies that are transferred and strengthened beyond the CFAA itself.
In particular, the above agreement entails a mutual and reciprocal commitment to support and maintain the Centre for Advanced Aeronautical Manufacturing (CFAA), which has been created as a joint R&D centre attached to the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU).
